Duration study load

Work placement

  • Students will be required to complete 120 hours in a workplace approved by Work Savvy.

The following is required for work placement:

  • National Police Check clearance certificate
  • Yellow Card for disability worker screening
  • Blue Card for working with children
  • Current vaccination records may be required.

Recognition of prior learning

  • Credit Transfer (CT) or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) are available for eligible individuals

Assessment

This program is subsidised by the Queensland government under the Certificate 3 Guarantee Program. Student Co-Contribution fees apply, varying based on student eligibility status.

To be eligible for funding, students must be:

  • Queensland residents
  • Aged 15 or older and not currently attending school
  • Australian/New Zealand citizens, Australian permanent residents (including humanitarian entrants), or temporary residents on the path to permanent residency
  • Not already holding or enrolled in a certificate III or higher qualification (excluding school and foundation skills training).
